About
Made by a small studio that hates the catch
SuperSplit is built by Adee Labs — an independent product studio, not a VC-funded growth machine.
Who makes SuperSplit
Adee Labs is an independent product studio behind apps, plugins and extensions used by 90,000+ creators, designers and travelers. The studio started the way a lot of good software does: someone scratching their own itches. A cleaner way to vectorize an image. A faster way to write inside the browser. And — the itch that became SuperSplit — a fairer way to split a group trip without anyone doing spreadsheet surgery at the airport.
Each product shipped, found users, and stuck around. There's no growth-hacking playbook here. The bet is simpler: make tools sharp enough that people quietly keep them, tell a friend, and forget they were ever made by a small studio at all.
Why we built SuperSplit
Expense splitting had become a story about paywalls. The app everyone used capped its free tier at a few expenses a day, started showing video ads, and kept features like currency conversion behind a monthly subscription. Splitting a bill with friends is basic arithmetic — we didn't think you should have to rent it.
So SuperSplit was built around a different deal: the core job — unlimited expenses, smart settle-up, flexible splits, 150+ currencies, shareable group links — is free forever, with no ads and no daily limits. Premium exists for genuinely extra work (receipt scanning, charts, export), and there's a one-time lifetime option because we think subscription fatigue is real.
How we work
Being independent means we answer to users, not investors. Your data lives on EU infrastructure, we never sell it, and you can delete your account any time from the app — no retention dark patterns. When we compare ourselves to other apps on this site, we say plainly who each tool is best for, including when it isn't us.
What's next
We're steadily improving the app — faster logging, smarter settlements, better receipts — and writing practical guides on our blog about splitting expenses fairly. If you have ideas or just want to tell us what's broken, write to dev@supersplit.com. A real person reads every email.
